steenestro replied to your post:  They can actually fly fast enough that they could alter the actual color of their constructs. there is a part in Ganthet’s Tale where Hal fires a beam and flys backwards fast enough to alter the beam color to yellow to break someones green construct. seriously? that’s sweet, is this what you’re talking about (yes I quickly googled it) ...

On a planet with atmosphere the top speed shown has been roughly mach 10. In space they can reach about 80% of the speed of light. However, Lanterns that are capable to traverse a blackhole theoretically should be able to fly faster than the speed of light.
